This type of boot covers the area completely without an opening for the hock. The interior of the boot is made of cotton (50%) and ceramic infused polyester (50%) whilst the exterior shell is made of Neoprene. To minimise the risk of the boot sliding down the horse’s leg, we recommend wrapping a pad around the leg, below the hock boot. As the pad stops the boot from sliding down the leg, the Velcro fasteners will not need to be tightened so hard. This in turn will minimise the risk of stasis in the lymphatic system of the horse when it lies down and bends the hock. Back on Track Hock Boot is suitable for use overnight and during transport.
