Hunter is a leather rein with soft rubber on the inside that makes the rein tight to hold even in bad weather.
Having the buckles on the reins gives a slightly firmer contact between the rider's hand and the horse's mouth. These reins have Conway buckles that give a slightly more durable rein, as there are no seams that wear.
